Our first ever program, Great Day for Nature Play classes are what put Featherfin on the map! These interactive 1 hour play classes connect children and their caregivers to the natural world's changing seasons through uniquely playful, child-led learning , all four seasons of the year!

Each mixed-age class meets weekly for 8 weeks, and is designed intentionally to support young children in strengthening heart, body, and mind. From empathy and creativity, to problem-solving and communication, we use nature to target childhood development skill-building. And we do it all through play! Grown-ups appreciate the learning, but for kids, its just plain fun!

Plus, each Great Day for Nature Play class includes early childhood development tips and tricks for caregivers, as well. That's right, grown-ups, you get to learn, too!

Families wanting to incorporate more nature-based traditions into their family's culture rave about Featherfin's flagship programs, Moon Families!

Held on each New Moon and Full Moon at private residences, each 90 minute long cozy gathering includes learning content about that month's Moon theme, play and art creation time, a moon themed snack, and our beloved sunset "Moon Disco Dance" party! It's a "Learning Celebration" that you won't find anywhere else!

Plus, cute decorations and a parent-photographer mean lots of adorable and special memories are yours to keep!

NEW MOON OR FULL MOON?: In the lunar cycle, the New Moon and Full Moon carry different meanings. As such, while the two programs are 90% identical. a slight difference is worth mentioning.
New Moon Families includes a welcome activity centered on the "inward energy" of social-emotional learning and mindfulness, whereas Full Moon Families includes a welcome activity centered on the more "outward energy" of a group communication play challenge. Both segments are much loved by children!

Enrollment for this program is for a full calendar year. Watch Featherfin social media and our email list for enrollment to open each November!
